for over 100 years!

The First Church of Christ, Scientist has been a part of the spiritual topography of Missoula since its founding in 1901 as a branch of the Mother Church in Boston, MA. The original church edifice centrally located on the corner of Pine and Pattee Street in downtown Missoula was constructed in 1903 and served as a wonderful home for our congregation for nearly 90 years. During that time the church, Sunday school, and reading room helped to minister to the needs of the Missoula community. In 1991, this simple but beautiful edifice was sold and a new building was constructed at 509 SW Higgins. This remains our home today. As in years past, the church, Sunday school, and reading room holds wide its doors to all visitors. Semi-annual lectures and biweekly activities held at the reading room, in addition to our regular Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services constitute our loving outreach to all in need of healing and spiritual nourishment.
